Our Recommendation

After carefully examining all of the ingredients in this food, I can definitely say I highly recommend it! There are numerous substances that are beneficial to kittens and cats. The meat, seafood, and egg along with essential vitamins and minerals help kittens grow into strong adult cats. Taurine is good for the heart and eyes and fruits and vegetables boost the immune system. Additionally, Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids contribute to healthy skin and fur and natural fibers contribute to stomach and intestinal health. Furthermore, this food is suitable for kittens and cats who have sensitive systems and food allergies because it is gluten-free and grain-free.

Important health warning: This food contains spinach, which is harmful to a kitten or cat that has or has had a urinary tract or kidney issue. It can lead to the creation of crystals in his or her urinary tract. Choose another kitten and cat food that does not have spinach in it if needed.

Feeding Amounts

There is no exact portion listed for this product. Portions should be determined by your kitten or cat’s age, weight, activity, and mood. This food cannot replace your cat’s current food immediately; it needs to be added slowly within one week.

There are special instructions for cats who are pregnant or nursing. The portion that is listed in the Daily Feeding Guide should be doubled or tripled depending on how much your cat weighs. There are also special instructions for kittens. Do not feed solid food to kittens that are under three weeks old. Moistened food (dry food with a little bit of warm water) should be given to kittens that are between three and eight weeks old. This food can be left on a pet food mat. Be sure to change your kitten’s water bowl as needed.

You should only include a tiny amount of this food in your kitten or cat’s food bowl on the first two days. Fill half of the bowl with this food on the next two days. The ratio of new food should be 3:1 on the two days after that. Finally, fill the entire bowl with this food on the seventh day.

The Bottom Line

This food is fantastic for either a growing kitten or an adult cat! The ingredients work together to support numerous parts of your pet’s body. What is even better is that kittens and cats who are sensitive and have food allergies will not experience any uncomfortable side effects from this food.

The manufacturer of this particular brand aims to satisfy the instinctual food cravings that kittens and cats get. It seems to be effective because it contains both meat and seafood (chicken fat is especially effective because it adds a ton of flavor!) Please note that the bags of this food come in two different sizes: 5-lbs and 14-lbs. You can purchase the bigger bag for only double the price of the smaller one. That is a great deal!

Do not feed this food to pets that have or have had any urinary tract or kidney problems! Always check to make sure if any ingredients are harmful to your kitten or cat if they have a history of health problems. Consult your vet if you are unsure.
